First of all, losing weight is more about what you eat, rather than how much you eat. If you love eating, I’m going to show you how to lose weight, but still eat.

There are so many different theories in regard to weight lose. Some so called authorities say eat 5 or 6 times a day, only make them small meals.

how to lose weight but still eat Other authorities say eat twice a day or once a day. Who’s right? Personally I think the less time you spend thinking about food and preparing it the better off you are.

Yes a calorie is still a calorie!

If you exercise and burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. If you consume more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. It’s a simple fact, calories in, calories out.

The key to eating right and still losing weight is in what you like to eat. You have to modify your food choices. Stay away from processed and prepared foods.

Eating more fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meat, poultry, fish and sea food.

The Mediterranean Diet is a good example of that type of food plan.

Beware of The Hidden calories

Be careful of the hidden calories in liquid form.

Sodas are loaded with calories and sugar. If you are drinking 2 or 3 sodas a day, that’s a lot of calories that add up over the course of a week or month.

Also, beware of alcoholic beverages, they also have a ton of calories, especially if you enjoy the fancy drinks. a couple of those could add up to almost a days worth of calories.

Fruit or Fruit Juice, Which is better for you?

Do you like to drink your fruit every morning? Talk about hidden calorie. Not only are you not getting the fiber, but most packaged juices are filled with sugars.

You are better off eating a piece of fresh fruit where you get all the fiber and not all the extra sugar.fruit graph

Carbs or No Carbs, The Age Old Question

Low carb diets have been all the rage in the last 20 or so years. Do they work? Yes, they do if you follow them correctly.

My husband lost 35 pounds doing Atkins Diet. It was easy for him on the old version of Atkins because back then it stressed eating mostly meat and vegetables. Which he loved. He could care less about bread or pasta.

Low carb diets are good if you are able to follow them to the letter. You can’t eat any of the wrong foods, even a taste because it will throw your ketosis levels off.

But in my opinion the latest version Atkins is very healthy. There are a few new books available to help you get started. Click here.

And Then There’s Juicing

Juicing has become the rage the last few years. And you can lose weight by juicing. But you have to make sure you do it right. You can’t just throw a bunch of fruit in a juicer and think that’s a good diet.

First of all, that’s way to much sugar. You need to combine fruit and veggies in the right proportion for it to be a healthy and nutritious alternative to eating your food.

I lost 9 pounds in a week by juicing fruit and veggies with a ratio of 20 % fruit and 80% veggies. That way you are getting all your nutrients.
